Boundary   Workers

As a sociologist of race, I have long been critical of the way race is understood. Instead of framing groups of people as constantly in competition or at war with each other, I want to focus on how we the people, across the spectrum of human experience, come together to build solidarity, strength, and community.

Boundary Workers is a study that engages community organizations that blur boundaries, or decrease the sense of difference between groups of people.
